Why the Saints have no chance at the Super Bowl

The New Orleans Saints are not going to make the playoffs this year, according to Saints owner Tom Benson.

“I’m not a playoff team, but it’s a possibility,” Benson said Thursday on ESPN’s “First Take.”

“You know, I’ve been around the block a little bit, and you know, we’re all on the same team.

But this year is very, very unlikely.

I’m not going down to the Meadowlands.

I’ve got my team.”

Benson was talking about the Saints having to deal with a new coaching staff, as well as a new quarterback and receiver.

Brees was the starting quarterback for the last three years, and had a great year this year with Tom Brady, but his arm still isn’t there.

Benson said he thinks the Saints are going to be in the playoffs in 2018.

“We’re all in the same boat,” Benson added.

“We’re trying to be successful in the Superdome, but if we go out and do the right things and keep it clean and keep the same mindset, I think we’re going to do the best we can.”
